We can quickly fold under self-criticism or equally blossom with self-encouragement.

We frequently walk through life unaware of what others see and feel, yet, at the same time, wonder why others are unaware of our senses and feelings.

Thank you for this very thought-provoking post, John-Michael, especially at this time of year when the discord of the inevitable hustle and bustle jangles our souls and we would rather be soothed with the harmony of peace, joy and stillness. I wish that harmony for You this Christmas season.Suzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16684999144031013661noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25195308.post-71851751219545895092008-12-19T12:47:00.000-05:002008-12-19T12:47:00.000-05:00This strikes me as ridiculously funny, John-Michae...This strikes me as ridiculously funny, John-Michael. Not because of your lovely thoughts here, which are worthy of much praise, but because I just now re-published some stuff over at my place in which I call myself a dumb bastard over and over.

(Of course, I followed it up with a re-print of a piece in which I extol my virtues unduly. That's just me - all or nothing thinking personified.)

Anyway, thanks for the great insight. I wasn't really aware of Mr. Adler before now. I'll have to do some reading.Suldoghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07778845367184916684noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25195308.post-31315624170677754842008-12-19T12:39:00.000-05:002008-12-19T12:39:00.000-05:00This brings to mind something that happend to me o...This brings to mind something that happend to me over 10 years ago. I was at a job interview...it was the 3rd person I was meeting with that day...had already met with 2 other previously. I felt good...all was going well...THEN...while waiting for the 3rd interviewer I glanced down at my feet and realized I had worn a black pump and a navy blue pump...from that moment on my heart began pounding...I could not concentrate...yet until I has noticed it...all was well...

After the interview, I quickly ran to buy a new pair of shoes to wear for the remainder of the day...and to this day I wonder if anyone else had ever really noticed.

Hugs,
RoseKissing of the Frogshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11621769823368917856noreply@blogger.com
