Childishly Silly

I am daily deleting all of the several newspapers from around the world that I currently subscribe to. I simply can not bear any more heart rending input. My emotions are frazzled and worn to depletion. But I do check in on the "pictures" section of the BBC News site. For I often find images that inspire and/or lighten my spirit. Here is one, from the Associated Press, that triggered a childishly silly caption in my mind ... I do enjoy Childishly Silly!

"Crow, Crow, Crow Your Boat ... "

I know ... it's REALLY BAD! ... (but it DID make you smile)

looking at the calmness of the water, that vessel would only make it's destination on a wing and a prayer.

And from this we can conclude that they are conspiring to navigate "as the crow flies?" (boy are we degenerating with this?! ... and I LOVE IT!!)

This reminded me of my 3 year old grandson. I had taken him and his sister with me to a park that had boats to rent to go out on the pond. There was one boat in need of repair and had been taken over by the ducks and a few other fowls there. Row Your Boat has always been a favorite of ours when we are together. This particular day in his observance his said; "Meema, that boat don't need no oars." I asked him why? "Because birdies fly and they are gonna all hold onto it with their feet and it's going to fly way up in the air.. like an airplane, won't that be funny Meema?" To see the smile and hear his laugh at his little thought told me then...yeah, he is going to be something really good when he grows up. Thanks for the thought jolt!

I am reminded of the scripture that reminds us that we can only be in God's presence if we come as little children. May it be so with me today!
Thank you for that reminder.
