I will know that I have reached a "Higher Plane" ...
when I can listen to Mozart
without occasionally visualizing, or acting out
"Silent Movie" or "Cartoonish" gestures to the music.
(It's not looking too promising thus far.)

i cannot hear the barber of seville and not think of bug bunny massaging elmer fudd's scalp with those giant rabbit feet. so i reckon it's not looking too good for me either.
Yeah ... but ain't it FUN!? [big silly grin]
Thanks for joining me in life's fun, Darling Lime. I love our sharing.
perhaps a higher plane is reached through the gestures to music instead of in spite of them...way too many serious folks out there that need to try this...have you ever looked out your car window to see someone fully engaged in singing without a care in the world at who might be around? That's me! Music is very therapeutic for countless reasons, it makes any situation feel lighter, just as my visualizing your music conductor mode has...thanks for the smile.
sending you love ~
I never need look out the car window to find that free-spirited Singer, My Darling Joni, for , don't you know, the mirror will suffice! [huge smile] And now, whilst I serenade my world, I will do so with a fresh awareness that ... I am singing a DUET!
Adoringly ...
Yes silly grin imagining you my friend!
Hugs,
Rose
I haven't done that lately. I have a daughter who is very much the grown up person (12 is the new 16) and whom I would embarrass to no end if I were to even hum a note of any type music in front of her or her friends. Much less your classical, which is so not cool at this age. And if I were to add any gestures, oh my. lol
Come on in Rose! The waters of musical silliosity are FUN!
Love You ...
(with Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's piano concerto #4in G major bombastically playing the background) I offer two words of profound and sophisticatedly polished note for your 12 year-old's edification, my Darling Sandra ... towit ... "LIGHTEN UP!" [grin]
(No, I have not forgotten the rolling of eyes and deepest of sighs accompanying my daughters grimaces of frustrated resignation to my "not normal"-cy. I just refused then [and will forever] to let her pee-pee on my parade.) Hang in there Kid ... I'm pulling for Ya!
Lovingly ...
PS ... My daughter also highly disapproved of my endorsement, encouragement ... and YES even participation in viewing ... Matthew's (her big brother) favorite TV musical program SOUL TRAIN. Oh Well!
lol, all little girls are the same!
And hey, I watched a little bit of Soul Train myself, loved the Soooouuuullll Train intro. :)
OH! Thank you sweet Sandra, for reminding me of that moment of fun that Mat and i enjoyed with each presentation of that raucous and utterly entertaining show. We did relish joining our voices, with the Announcer's, in doing that "Soooouuuullll Train intro." What a lovely memory!
You refresh my Soul ... thank you, Yet again.
Hah! Reminds me of the "definition" of an intellectual: Someone who can hear "The William Tell Overture" and not think of "The Lone Ranger"!
I've thought, on several listenings to the William Tell Overture, that it would be fun to shout out "High Ho Silver ... and AWAY!" in a concert presentation of the piece. But, alas, even I am not quite that bold ... or am I?
Love You, my SulDog Friend.
