My Favorite Inaugural Image
The One who is not in this photo ... his WIFE and her MOM ... is (in my estimation) the One who makes what we see illustrated there, before us, possible. Michele Obama is the Element that enables and empowers the magic of the rest of this Family's potential ... to be complete in its beautiful fulfillment. What I see here is a powerful and enchanting demonstration of what a Family living in an environment of supportive and validating, respectful, Love can, at its ultimate, be. I can only say ... "Amen, and Amen!"
I was so moved by this photo, Jim, that it took me until this moment, of responding to your comment, to add the caption that expresses the core of what stirs me in it. And, I now have an even more complete sense of the depth of its effect on me.
I am glad in that You and I can share in it ... and the fuller understanding that seeing it, with You, brings to me. I love You, My SulDog Friend.
With You, Sweet Aims, I am filled with hope for all that this Man inspires in the Soul of us all. And I am equally grateful for the awakening of our better Angels by the fresh new winds that blow across the peaks that his message and Spirit bring us to.
I've been moved by almost every photo I see this family in. He is a good man, she is a good woman, and together with their beautiful daughters they are a good family. What a role model for this country of ours. Amen indeed!
I hope you are feeling better my dear friend. Much love to you, always John-Michael.
I love how the camera catches images like this... when we do not see thing's such as this, or do we chose not too? I am so hoping that this man will so wonderful things for this country of ours, I told my family "I feel sorry for him, he's coming into a HUGE mess" He look's as if he's the got sweet, gentle, kind hearted spirit in him, if only people could find the good in everyone I do believe this world wouldn't have so much hate and anger it! But with people like you and I and that sweet loving Joni we CAN make a difference, even if it's in one person, cause that one person can make a difference and then it's like fallen domino's effect after that, Good things happen slowly, so slow sometimes that our eyes can not see it, or the beauty of it. I love the song from John Lennon sing's "If the World could live as one" the words make my eyes fill up with tear's. Thank you for posting such a sweet photo. Hug's to you Annette
that really is a beautifully warm and tender glance being exchanged. my other favorite is the one of sasha making googly eyes with her hands partly because of that and partly because michelle looks totally ok with that. hehehehe
both photos speak of real comfort and acceptance of each other.
Thank you, My Darling Sandra, for your good wishes! I am, in fact, improving ever-so-slowly. My voice returned yesterday. Today will attempt to go to the market (My Dear Friend, Carole, took me last week ... inasmuch as I was too weak to drive myself.) So, I am 'getting there ... and hoping that you, too, are improving. (I love you so!)
I too love the wonderful way that our First Family exemplify the beauty of a respectful, loving, and cooperative family unit. It is so encouraging and uplifting to watch. (I am smiling at the thought of you basking in the affection of your son and grandchild! I send my blessings to you all.)
Thank you, Sweet Annette, for sharing, with me, in the spirit of this blessing for us all. It makes it even more a blessing to have the joy multiplied by the synergy of Friendship.
... And I am so grateful for the intimacy that is so openly shared by so many of us ... all across the world ... in this moment of hopeful celebration, Dear Suza. Thank you for sharing in it with me!
Aren't they a joyful delight, Linda Pendleton?! I am refreshed with each little element, of their family bond, that is revealed. They make my Heart smile!

Subsequent to twenty years of marriage, and a career in management in the Financial Services Industry (investments, life insurance, and financial planning), I have invested myself in the pursuit of what Joseph Campbell calls "My Bliss." And my bliss is in living, loving, writing, and mentoring.
I find joy in awakening Imagination and endorsing the expression of Emotion in children ... as well as arousing Emotion and awakening child-worthy Imagination in adults.
I live a very simple (some would say primitive) lifestyle. In my solitary and simple life, I enjoy genuine, intimate, and meaningful friendships.
My dream is to write a syndicated column responding to life and living questions posed by individuals seeking a responsible grasp of their personhood and a fuller enjoyment of their world. I would inhabit a cabin or similar place of dwelling, overlooking some body of water, where I will spend tranquil and gentle hours rowing, writing, drawing, and communing with Life.
With their "putting out the 'Welcome' mat," by Listing me on their blogs, these folks have inclined me to visit them Daily.

about my "lady muse"
You will hear me, quite often, make mention of ... and give respectful credit to ... my Muse (oft referred to, by me, as my Lady Muse.)
In Greek mythology, the Muses are Spirits, who embody the arts and inspire the creation process.
In the Christian doctrine, the ‘Holy Spirit’ is depicted as a 'Counselor' or 'Helper', guiding people in the way of the truth. The Holy Spirit enables a person to access his or her own innate abilities. Through the influence of the Holy Spirit a person sees more clearly the world around him or her and can use his or her mind in ways that exceed his or her usual capacity. Earlier in my life-walk, I was comfortable with this “Holy Spirit” verbiage. I now find it exclusionary. That is, it excludes others of other faiths and persuasions. And, inasmuch as I have come to a personal recognition of the universality of such an influencing ‘Inner Voice’ … I am far more comfortable with my use of the term ‘Muse.’
My personal references to my ‘Lady Muse’ always convey my appreciative respect for Life’s voice (without regard for any single sectarian label), ‘heard’ by my consciousness and made clear in my awareness. My use of the feminine in referring to my ‘Muse’ simply reflects my comfort with a feminine ‘Presence’ in my mental and spiritual functioning.
My ‘Muse’ may speak to me through the voice of another, a book, poem, song, some element of Nature … countless ways. I have found that all that is needed for me to ‘hear’Life speaking to me through that ‘Still Small Voice’ within my Being, is my willingness to “Be still and know …”

"comments" and "responses"
Allow me to tell you how I approach this business of "commenting" on your articles.
And how I respond to "comments" that you graciously make on my submissions.
Deliberately ... caringly ... and ONLY after understanding the definition of what my Spirit wants me to see ... I write.
So, I read what you say. I go to your Profile (though I have seen it before.) I refresh my sense of "who you are." I return to what you wrote. I listen for a clear 'voice' from within my Self. And THEN (and ONLY then) I write a "comment" or respond to one.
Yes! It takes time. It takes effort. It takes an investment in You.
But to do less ... would be to show less respect for who you are and what you think ... than I could ever allow my Self to know.
So, I beg your patience, if am a bit slow in my comments or responses. Like the old tale of the Tortoise and the Hare ... this old Tortoise will eventually get there.

That IS nice. Anyone who loves someone is always someone you can hope for good things from.
One of the many many images that the world needs to keep close.
May this man bring the change the world so desperately needs.
I would have voted for him in a second if I was American.
