Someday ... Not Now

Someday, You will be listening elsewhere,
Your attention on some other voice.
But, for now, I enjoy your attention,
My Words and Message … your choice.

Someday will find you refocused,
On new Vistas, Horizons not now known.
But, for now, I enjoy your attention,
My Heart, my Desires can be shown.

Someday, you will go over yonder,
Discovering and exploring new Worlds.
But, for now I enjoy your attention,
A tapestry, of Possibilities, unfurled.

Someday, you will forget what I’ve told you,
Circumstance diluting what we share.
But, for now, I enjoy your attention,
Delighting, in this chance, to show Care.

Someday you may ask, “Who has loved Me?” …
In a moment of Loneliness or Fear.
But, for now, I enjoy your attention,
Repeating, again, “I love You” … happy that you are still near.

Oh Rose, My Sweet Darlin' Friend! I am so glad that you enjoyed this little attempt to express my appreciation, for the Moments, invested by Folks, here. I wanted to reflect how significant these brief Visits are to me. You make me feel that I may have said it, at least, pleasantly. I love You (you know!)

very wistful.

know that i wish all the love you give to be returned to you many times over.

My intention, Lime, My Darling, was far more "celebratory" of the Moment that I share with a Reader and Friend ... than the "wistful" that you hear. For, you see, I embrace the changes and evolutions that are a natural part of the passage of time and circumstance. And I happily acknowledge this wonderful Gift, of our Moments together. (Our lovely Friendship being a glowing example of one Gift that I anticipate enjoying forever!! [smile])

Such a lovely place to visit, John-Michael. You have an engaging warmth and obvious compassion. You also have a special spot on your sidebar for some of my favorite people, to include Joseph Campbell, which says a lot to me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my visit!
