Alone in the Morning

I began my day, today, with a renewed appreciation for the blessing of being alone in the morning. For it is the singular fortune known to One who is not distracted, by the seductive presence of Another, to be able to reflect on Life’s Wonders. And this morning brought just such an opportunity.

As I allowed my two organically produced Eggs to slowly cook in the little Corning skillet (the heat being optimally utilized by a clear glass lid) I enjoyed the fragrance of bacon bits (the real stuff!) and butter (the real stuff!) simmering into the eggs. And I contemplated my appreciation of the oft-overlooked Gift, from those amazing Masters of that rare endowment, that provides the Concentrated Fish Oil that enriches my living, with each capsule taken … with each Morning’s breakfast.

All too easily, we take for granted the uncanny skills, employed by these Asian 'Athletes Extraordinaire', as they carry on the traditions of gathering Concentrated Oils from the fishes. It boggles the mind to try to grasp the confluence of proficiencies brought to bear as they lull the fish into a state of deep concentration … keeping them suspended in that state whilst the gathering of those Sacred Oils is accomplished … and transporting each tiny Sample to the waters’ surface, free of any contaminates. I smile a smile of gratitude and appreciative honor, as I consider the stamina and expertise working in union as those Artisans dive into the hazy depths, humming arias, from "Madama Butterfly," in perfect time, with their expelled bubbles, of spent air. All to accomplish the end product, that I now incorporate, into my Being. How wonderful!

And to think that there are multitudes of people in the world who begin their days coping with the bothersome company of some meaningless conversation, or physical diversion, not knowing these opportunities for contemplative reflection, that are my daily blessing … is just too, too, sad. So, My Darling Reader, I share with You, my own insightful notions this day. It is all simply too lovely to selfishly keep to myself. (And all of this BEFORE my first cup of coffee!) Isn’t loving and sharing a wonderful thing!

is that really how they get fish oil? wow. i assumed it came from dead fish somehow not "milked" from live ones.

The real "tricky" part (for the Gatherer) is to make certain that (as they do their gathering) the Divers do not, inadvertently, 'pollute' their Treasure with 'issues' from a consternated (as opposed to constipated) fish.

Though far less expensive than the pure Concentrated Oil, the Stuff, having been adulterated with less-than-desirable Elements, always leaves the ultimate Consumer with that tell-tale breath that transmits the befouled Oil's tainted essence. The result reminds us of the old, "Penny wise, Pound foolish." (Yes ... ALL of this 'fishy' nonsense was, in fact, going through my funky mind as I doled out my morning supply of Supplements. To be alone with such a mind can be a very dangerous thing!)

Love Ya Lime, My Darlin'!

First off..Thank you for your visit, I enjoyed it (smile) now, the eggs cooking on the stove in real butter with real bacon bits I could taste every word, then I had a HUGE smile on my face when I read about your fish oil, it was a very interesting article, like the rest of your fans I never knew that's how they got the oil, all that work for those small capsules....that are so good for us! you start your day with fish oil, I start mine with premarin (a must have hormone) which is pregnant mare urine, now YUK, but it does me well, just ask my family =) I just love to read your writing, your great for my soul...

Then I don't suppose that I will try selling you, My Dear Suza, on the story that Oil of Olay is gathered from the perspiration of Matadors. [stupid grin]

Lovingly ...

Please know that You have made me feel very good, My Darlin' Annette. I thank you for your kindness.

I start the day with what I have learned is a good combination for mobilizing and coping with that lovely inheritance from my genetic fore bearers, chronic chemical depression. And it is such a genuine joy to be functional after four decades of not knowing what the definition of that ever-present burden (that felt like lead-constructed diving suit) that I always labored to overcome, was. So, yes, it is fish oil (amongst other elements) that equip me for the day's opportunities.

Lovin' Ya ...

This is as good as it gets, John-Michael. As good as it gets. I will now think of you every time I take my fish oil. I'm not sure that was your life's ambition, but it's what you got :-)

Of your potential list of Early Morning Rituals, I think that I am happy with having your "taking of the Fish Oil" as the one activity that brings Me to your mind, SulDog. No, no! That's OK! You needn't provide a complete listing for my consideration. (Thanks anyway!) But methinks that I will gladly settle for "well enough", and leave the other options alone.

Love Ya, Jim ...

Very well done post. I always wondered about where oil of olay came from :)

You are a very gifted writer and while I have not commented much, have enjoyed reading your thoughts. We so often get caught up in world so much that we miss the little things that truly allow us to just BE.

Namaste my friend,
Roger

You, Roger, are very kind. I thank You, My Friend, for sharing your generous reflections here. My conscious choice to move from a life-status of "Human DOing", to my present priority of "Human BEing", has been wonderful for Who I am. But (I hasten to point out), has been at a 'cost' that would be unacceptable to most Folk. So, I feel an obligation ... to all those who are maintaining the ebb and flow of this World that I enjoy BEing in ... to share whatever insights, ideas, reflections, and considerations that Life reveals to Me.

To hear that You have found some measure of satisfaction or enjoyment, in what you have gleaned from my writings, pleases and encourages my Spirit. I thank You, Dear One, for telling Me so.

Namaste, My Brother ...
