Hush

As I consider this image, I hear the Master of life speaking to Nature, and instructing Her to "Hush ... still all of the noises ...but do it gently, and with soft loveliness."

Which, then, reminded me of a piece that I wrote a couple of years ago
.

Hush Me

I am speaking too much.
My enthusiasm is intrusive.
This Energy I radiate, I know, is tiring.
So, please, just ‘hush me.’

Only one finger, across my lips,
Or to the end of my chin,
Will draw my attention to your eyes.
And they will just ‘hush me.’

When I ask too much.
Delve too deeply.
Suggest too frequently.
I beg you … just ‘hush me.’

Draw my arm close to your side.
Place your head against my shoulder.
Take my hand in the tenderness of yours.
My heart will draw to you, and just ‘hush me.’

I can sing ... I can dance;
Devise all sort of elaborate plans;
Make noble statements ... proclaiming my Love.
All goes still and silent … when you just ‘hush me.’

Well, now that you're back, I most certainly will NOT hush you! Glad to finally make a trip here and find you at home. :-)

However, I scroll down, and I see that it is I who has been absent lately. I guess I got used to you NOT being here, so haven't visited as often as I should have.

The bright side is that I now have much of you to read, all at once. Yay!

Many people's words are a distration but not yours, John-Michael.

That is a lovely poem. Sort of a "stop-and-smell-the-roses" reminder.

I love you Jim, my Dear SulDog Friend!!

The past few months have been lived sans treatment of my poor, tired old Brain's need for help with its very low levels of serotonin, and other 'make it work stuff.' It has been very interesting to step back from myself and observe experience life as it was lived for my first 45 years. I have been able to applaud myself for all that I accomplished with a brain that struggled just to barely function. But, as you noticed, it left me with no 'resources' to invest in communication.

But, Dear Friend, I made now been able to make some minor purchases of the stuff necessary to rekindle my brain's more fully functional abilities. I am getting back there! [smile]

Your notice and caring are precious to me Jim. Thank you!

Lovingly ...
