That was beautiful, John-Michael. Even though I cried throughout the whole presentation. I so needed to see that. My son called on the the 4th and he sounded so down. He just wants to come home. I felt so helpless.
I am unswervingly obliged to You, Sandra, my Dear Friend, to present the challenges and burdens that you (and all of those quiet Souls with whom you share the absence of a part of your Heart) so beautifully bear with grace and strength. Yours is an ever-present concern to me that I am committed to keeping in the consciousness of our shared world.
Yet, I do hesitate, with loving concern, when I offer a piece like this one. For, I would (if only it were in my power) spare you all discomfort and pain that are the inevitable companions of your son's absence.
To hear that you found some solace in this gives me comfort and peace. Thank you, my Darling, for telling me so.

i am sitting here wiping my face. the images of katherine cathey are just utterly heartbraking. the care with which that marine does a job that has to be so incredibly taxing on his own heart cannot be underestimated.
In our shared moments of combined respect, honor, and compassionate appreciation, the bond of mutual understanding and unity is woven even more tightly. This is my personal belief. And i am gladdened in the thought of being drawn closer to One whose Heart is as rich as yours, my Dear Lime.
