What I Desire

I have been asked what it is that I desire. This is not a new question. I gave the matter some consideration early in 2007. And, having reviewed my response, at that time, I find that nothing in my core desires has changed. Thus, I respond to the current inquiry, as I also share with You, My Dear Reader, what I would have “That Special Someone” in my life, know.

It is my desire …

To read poetry to You and watch your eyelids float to your cheeks in serene rest;

To listen to your breath and sense your peaceful comfort in my presence;

To awaken You with kisses lingering at every line, curve, shadow, and highlight of You from the soles of your feet to the crown of your head;

To greet each new day with the awareness that it is to be another together … You and I;

To listen to my spirit, in a moment of solitude, as it communes with your spirit … wherever You are;

To walk through Life’s gallery applauding, celebrating, and reveling in the beauty of all of Creation … knowing that Life’s Masterwork is forever in the chamber of my Heart;

To look heavenward and say, oft and joyously, “Thank You!”… at the thought of You;

For You to know, in every fibre of your existence, that in our Now and in our Forever ... we are One in eternal intimacy.

This is what I desire.

And I do, genuinely, thrill with delight, in listening to your accountings of Life's exciting, satisfying, and enjoyable happenings in your individual world, my Dearest Crystal. Your parents, children, and close intimates all provide such a delicious balance of soul-enrichment, that my heart celebrates with you.

I do find it somehow freeing, to permit my Self the exercise of placing on 'the table' my innermost yearnings, Dearest Lime. Strange how looking at what lies there makes clear the seemingly impossible scope of these elements ... while giving a sigh of refreshing clarity. "don't know if that makes sense ... but it is true.

I Love your loving Being, my Friend ...

To be seen, in the eyes and estimation of One so beautiful as You, my Dearest Aims, as anything approaching what you so generously express ... is an humbling honor. And I do thank you for your constant kindness, my Friend.

Well, I'm one of those testosterone-driven folk (a.k.a. straight male) but if I had more curves and estrogen, I'd be knocking on your door at this very moment. How could any female resist?

now working on a mental image of suldog with curves and estrogen.....snicker, snort, guffaw.

Your words can make any woman melt...and I am laughing at Suldog's comment. You have a beautiful soul, and your words let it shine.
Hugs,

The "Honesty" thing is certainly most important to me, Sandra, my Dear Friend. Hopefully, I can serve to encourage a free expression of inner Self, in someone else, along the way. This is my wish.

Thank you for this, now-present smile, that accompanies each of your visits.

Such longing for sweet and earthly small, discrete things. AND the sense of universal connection. Where those meet, there's the joy.

Wishing you that meeting place, John-Michael.

To be enveloped in an atmosphere made of the loving affections of such marvelous individuals as Lime, SulDog, and You, Dear Friend Jillie, is a rich blessing that overwhelms my emotions. I love each of you for those beautiful and amazingly unique qualities that distinguish You.

(I came on-line only because I just saw a news clip [on the Hall-Of-Fame game] that featured the arrival of Brett's plane in Green Bay. The crowd lining the runway was 5 people deep ... all cheering, waving, and holding signs expressing honor, respect, and loyalty. It was a beautiful thing ... and instantly brought to my mind the loveliest Packers fan who I am honored to call Friend. [yes! I do think about you ... and smile ... outside of 'blog-land'].)

Your words touch a place in my Being that happens to be uncomfortably and uneasily ill-at-ease at present. You, my Darling NiteByrd, bring respite to my troubled Spirit. I am grateful.
