Life’s stage has gone dark.
Each performance, as now reviewed,
was ripe with Potential.
But all concluded with this empty void.
In the illumination, of a dedicated spotlight,
each Player, in my repertoire of life encounters,
turned from our dialogue,
and exited our shared stage.
Now, in the fading echoes, of accompanying applause,
I consider the ascension, of each former Leading Lady,
as they, in turn, have risen to their new Roles.
And I, at Intermission, yearn for a Partner,
to share this stillness with.

Oh JM! How beautiful.
I know, when alone, we do put those past partners up into a leading role once more. Sometimes with irony - sometimes with fading sadness and sometimes with love.
I pray you find another partner to slow dance with.
At the moment I really need someone to help calm my fears - could this be you my friend?
Oh, My Darling Aims, how rich would be the honor of being your place of calm and respite. Please know that a place at the hearth of my care and Friendship is always yours. (For, don't you know ... I love you. [gentle smile])
The curtain will go up on the next act soon enough, John-Michael. Meanwhile, check to see that your make-up is still good and all of your props in the right places :-)
Your life stage is far from dark, dear bloggy friend! Don't give up on those auditions. The waiting line is out the door and down the sidewalk!
No matter how dark the stage is at the moment, there will always be a second, third and maybe even a fourth act. One must be patient and ever aware for the distant notes and words.
wishing you a leading lady with the role written just for you, my friend.
John-Michael just be patient...she is waiting for you, as you for her...and you will meet when the moment is just right. Lisa L.
Can you imagine the immeasurable challenge that my mug would be for ANY make-up artist, Jim? That kind of discouragement could send the most resolute of professionals home in tears. [silly grin] Thank you for the visit, My SulDog Friend.
Lovin' Ya ...
Hey now! I think that I want to be serving refreshments out there on that sidewalk, Willow. I do thank you, My Darling Friend, for your generous thoughts. (I like you!)
Lovingly ...
I will try to be attuned to any whisper of a cue ... Dearest NiteByrd. Your kind words do give the wait a sweetness. [smile]
I love you!
I must confess that the Script Writer has a pretty good challenge with that one, My ever-Darling Lime. Your Presence does make for a very pleasant Intermission, 'til then, though.
Loving You ...
How lovely of you, Lisa! I thank you for that.
Gratefully ...
OH John-Michael that is so sad made me cry. As long as there is breathe in our bodies HOPE springs eternal. My wish for you is a leading lady that deserves YOU
John-Michael, as Nitebyrd said there is always another act. Just remember this: the stork is not going to fly over and drop this co-star you seek in your lap! Put yourself out there and beware of the vacuum of life. It will suck the life right out of you and your desires.
Please do not be sad, my Dear Anonymous Friend. The Intermission is a nice part of the "entertainment experience." It provides a respite, refreshment, renewal, and a chance to mingle and enjoy the interaction with Others outside the confines of roles or requirements. I have great respect and appreciation for this interlude ... whilst ever-aware of those constant yearnings.
How lovely of you to welcome my feelings into your awareness! I am humbly grateful for that honor.
Please rest assurred, Dear Anya, that I am well established enough in my Being's desires, to preclude any danger of Life being ebbed away or lost. And I only await those 'storks' for the beauty and grace of their flight. [warm smile] Your willingness to express care and concern is not lost ... and is, indeed, gratefully embraced.
Lovingly ...
Time to get a coffee and sit back, relax, wait for the next act to begin...
Somthing like, that Fellow of yesteryear, was saying, with his "All of the world is a stage ... and we are but Players on it.", is it not, Dear CathDaughter?
Lovingly ...
This is beautiful and sad at the same time. I liked Suldog's comment, I agree my friend.
Thinking of you....
Hugs,
Rose
Oh! My Precious Rose, to know that you have welcomed me into the presence of your Awareness, gives me a comfortable, pleasant, moment of joy. Thank you, Darling Friend.
Lovingly ...
beautifully expressed...would I to share in the stillness of such an intermission I would bring popcorn.
:)
Just let me know your beverage of preferrence, My Precious Friend, and I will hapilly attend to that detail. [BIG, Happy smile] Thank you, Dear Joni, for settling my Soul for sweet slumber tonight. Your Spirit makes for sweet dreams.
Loving You ...
