Blossom or Manure
If I chose to be the Blossom
I could garner the praise of Men
Mine could be the prizes …
Many ribbons could I win.
But only once, just that one time …
then never, ever again.
But if I choose to be the manure,
Unseen, unknown, without glamour,
I could nurture the dreams of many
Not once, but over and over.
To be admired and win the prizes,
Again, and yet again.

JM - thanks once again for your comments over at my place. I can't imagine NOT knowing seasons...did you see my "Blue Winter" post a few down? That's what the road looks like by our house. Sometimes winter gets a bit weary (like this one!) but there is so much beauty also.
My daughter is heading to Florida in May for her senior trip. I know she's looking forward to warmth, blue skies and sand between her toes!
