Life's Harrow

I readily accept the cutting edges of someone else’s ideas.
For I understand that they are Life’s harrow.

Breaking up the soil of my mind, saving me from hardening my thinking …
Aerating and freshening me in a cycle of preparation.
Dislodging the old and stale… lest my Vision become infertile and barren.

Making me open and receptive to the planting …
Of new seeds of perspective and thought.

That I may yield a harvest of insights, understandings, and awareness …
For the sustenance of myself and the World that I touch.

How very kind of you! But please don't print it before I edit it one last time (the needed change plagued me whilst at work, and I hurried home to make the adjustment.)

Again "Thank You!"

what inspired this?

My, oh my! What a marvelous question! One that no one has ever asked before. So, here 'tis.

I went to bed last night considering all of the new and diverse voices that I have opened my Self to recently. Voices, opinions, perspectives, and reflections of life-choices that cover a very wide spectrum of beliefs, convictions, and styles.

And I wondered (as well) how my VERY DIFFERENT posting, yesterday, would be received by many of those who have been faithful readers of my blog.

And, SHAZAM!, Lady Muse wrapped the whole bit into what I offered today.

There you have it! Thank you for caring ... and asking.

Lovely thoughts. Recently Mac had his brains "harrowed" when he learned that his hero, Kit Carson, was not so much a hero as he had learned in history in his day...I've tried to tell him over the years (having been a history buff all my life) that the history of his youth had mostly been doctored as to blame...well, now he knows. If he had been five years old, things would have been thrown, doors would have been kicked...well, you know. And now I have a theme for my posting today, John-Michael, thank you

How beautiful! Thank you!

Oh Katie, 'Mi Darelin' ... could you just send me a "Hi" every day, so that I can read your name on the message and smile all over again? (saying "Katie McKenna", to myself, evokes an automatic brogue, in the saying, that delights my soul!!) [big smile]

I like this very much. As someone who is expanding their horizons, I too will print it out as a daily reminder.

Thank you!

There could be no higher compliment ... you honor me.

First of all, thank you for visiting my blog and commenting!

I like your entry today a lot. It is so very important to be exposed and open to new ideas and perspectives ... so one does not get too narrow in their thought. For some reason Home Schooling came to mind and is one reason why I'm not big on this home-schooling. I think children need to be exposed, learn to deal with new ideas, learn to deal with other people and their presentation of those ideas, filter through and come to conclusions of their own ... so that their reasoning and discerning abilities can be developed. Home discussion enters in big here.

Thanks for sharing these thoughts in such a unique way.

And I thank you for your willingness to allow my "tilling" in the soil of your consciousness.

Hopefully, I can, on occasion, offer some of the "manure" by-products, of my life's experiences, to further encourage the blossoming of fresh ideas.
