Lest we mistakenly believe that this business of living “in the moment” or pursuing the “carpe diem” imperative is something of a “New Age” construct… Please consider these words from Horace.
"He who postpones the hour of living rightly…
is like the rustic who waits for the river to run out…
before he crosses."
Quintus Horatius Flaccus

The sense of "Timeless Wisdom" always appeals to me.

As i always do, Shelbi, I went to learn more about You, to your Profile. And am delighted to meet such a sensitive and creatively expressive person.
As is obvious (isn't EVERYTHING about me? ... nothing hidden!) [smile] I am TOTALLY in love with Jen. She has every fibre of my devotion and loving admiration. And to know her in any less way is inconceivable to me.
On this "birth" of our new Gift of Friendship, please accept my fledgling love for the person who you have revealed your Self to be.
Inspiring words and a beautiful picture, jm. Thank you for sharing.
I do find comfort in the Awareness of the consistency of Truth through the Ages, My Darling NiteByrd. Knowing that You liked this bit of a thought pleases m. I'm glad that you told me. (And I could DEFINITELY spend some extended time beside that stream!)
Your presence reminds me anew of how much I appreciate and genuinely Love You.
